We think of pain as a negative thing, something to avoid.

But pain is there to teach us, which can be seen as a positive thing.

If we touch something hot, it will burn us. Pain has taught us a valuable lesson.

Never again will we put ourselves in that situation, thus avoiding further pain.

Pain can also be a warning within our body.

If we feel pain, then it is a sign that something is wrong.

We address the root of the pain and help our body to heal.

And then there is the pain of the loss of a friend or relative.

Although the pain feels bad, it is a sign that we have loved.

Without love, life would be a sad and barren place.

So we should see pain as a positive thing, something that can teach and guide us.

Although we can never embrace it, seeing its good side can make it easier to bear.
